Broken and damaged car wipers? Replace old windshield wipers and buy new one from Parts Avatar Canada.

Broken and damaged car wipers? Learn how to replace your old Windshield Wipers
Windshield wiper is an important safety feature of any car. The major problem here is that they won’t last forever and one would have to replace them after every few years. Most of the rubber blades dry out with the passage of time due to sun and continuous usage. The question which arises here is that how would you come to know that you need new wipers? You will come to know when they would exhibit the following symptoms:-
  • Streaking water
  • Squeaky
  • Leaving behind a milky film
Before you go to buy new wipers, just try to wipe away the dirt and harden the rubber off with your blades using a wet rag. This would increase the lifespan of your wiper.
Initially the task of replacing the wiper blades can turn out to be very intimidating. After observing the swiping arms of plastic connectors, the rubber and metal, you will find it similar to a riddle. But in reality, this task is really very easy. There are many auto parts stores which offer complimentary installation if you buy wipers from them. If you found a sweet deal online from sites like carid or rockauto, then you must go for it as you can replace it all by yourself.
The latest cars support a hook style wiper arm in which the blade slides over a metal hook and then it clips easily at the perfect place. Earlier it wasn’t this easy to replace a wiper as it had a variety of arms and mounts. If you find any difficulty while replacing your wiper blades, then you can always check your owner’s manual for some guidance.
Steps to change your windshield wipers
Step1- Buy the blades which you need
Before buying a wiper, you must know the exact model of your car. Write all the specifications like the year, make and model and the type. You can always visit to your nearest auto body shop or can buy one from online store.  Just give them your car’s information and then you will have many options. You should not buy the cheapest or the most expensive one. And it would be a nice idea to replace both the blades together.
Step 2- Removing the old blades
First thing which you should do is to pull the wiper assembly up and make sure it remains vertical. The blade should then be turned perpendicular to the arm and it will make the hinge visible. You will be able to see a small tab on the side. The next thing which you will have to do is to pull that tab out and wiper should be pulled down towards the car. The blade and arm would now be separated. Then carefully remove the blade and the wiper arms would now be unprotected metal. So if you are going to get your new wipers, don’t leave the arm up. They would harm your windshield if they fall down, so be cautious. Just lay down the old wiper.
Step 3- Attach the new Wipers
Pick up your new wiper and then insert its arm through appropriate hole. This would push up the actual wiper. You will have to determine that in which hole it would go, so the hinge should be perpendicular to the wiper. The arm’s hook will go over the hinge. When the arm is completely inside the hole, line them together and then push. When it’s snapped in, you will be able to hear the sound of a click. Then lower the arm, and repeat. You have no successfully replaced your wiper blades.
You will notice a very big difference in their performance. The new ones would be far better than t he previous ones and now you need not take any sort of burden. You can throw away your old wipers or ca even reuse them. Those wipers can be reused in your bathroom to wipe away the mirrors after showers, if they get fogged up.
